Sonic Charm
Passive dynamic acoustic diffuser, equipped with a 6.5-inch transducer featuring a high-quality plastic cone and aluminum dome, with frequency response equalized by Spera Experience, utilizing specific passive circuits.
Cylindrical cabinet constructed with dampening material and a cavity filled with sand, suspended with elastics from a load-bearing structure made of press-bent stainless steel.

In this challenging project, Spera Experience has deployed all its expertise to create a speaker that approached the “ideal” speaker.
By this definition, it is meant a speaker that adheres to certain characteristics recognized as those that should ensure the ideal listening experience, namely:
point source emission, emission with a single wideband speaker without crossover circuit, operation with rigid piston for low frequencies,
mechanical decoupling of the cabinet, and comfortable impedance for easy driving.
All these crucial elements coexist in Sonic Charm after much work, numerous listening tests, and extensive engineering.
Listening tests have also highlighted that, despite the excellent full-range used, it would have been interesting to overcome the weakest point of wideband speakers (i.e., reproducing high and very high frequencies) by adding a ribbon tweeter, chosen for its speed and transparency characteristics. The operation with a rigid piston, i.e., with a column of air contained in the cylindrical cabinet, manages to deliver a very fast, transparent, dynamic, and articulate low range, therefore very enjoyable as well as accurate. Moreover, not having frequency cuts in the critical vocal range provides very natural voices, with great definition and tonally correctness.
The single-way operation, thanks to the regular acoustic phase without significant rotations, then reconstructs a very accurate acoustic scene with the right dimensions of the instruments and their proper positioning in the scene.
The regularized impedance (see technical specifications) makes the Sonic Charm speaker easy to drive (even for tube amplifiers) despite its nominal four ohms.
Last but certainly not least, we must highlight the significant benefit that all sound receives from the real decoupling via elastics.
In fact, with this technique (already used by Spera Experience on other speakers of our design albeit with different methods), one greatly reduces one of the main causes of masking the original sound.
